Hi - I'm the artist who donated that work to scrap - each ball is filled with some sort of trash - ie paper or dryer lint. This is the first yarn hanging I ever made - so glad to see it online!

Very cool looking and a wonderful way to recycle and repurpose scrap yarn. I submitted it to SU so others can see the wonderful idea.
