Made from brushed cashmere and all-natural wool, Longoland's cheeky take on a bear skin rug would definitely inject some humor into your decor. Considering how rare monster sightings are these days I'm sure this rug is pretty pricey (price upon request - always a bad sign!) but hey, a girl can dream. If you find yourself weak of wallet yet still a slave to fashionista longings, take heart and a cue from Garbage Dress blogger/designer/oh-so-clever recycler Zana Bayne who took a boring pair of purple (yep, she painted them!) shoes and with a few hundred rhinestones, a lot of glue and I'm assuming tons o' time and revamped them into these runway ready show-stoppers.
Don't these clever designs make you want to run home and paper a wall or two? Artist Natalie Wright hand silk-screens and then paints over the clever patterns she's dreamed up. The mustache design (below) has been snatched up and is currently in production by the WIlly Wonka of wallpaper, Flavor Paper. That's it! I'm gonna need to get some more walls.

Arts in Vienna, knew this feeling all to well so, to fill a dire dorm room need, designed the Flatshare Fridge. These colorful, stackable units allow each person in your household to have their own personal refrigerator space. Because the individual blocks are much smaller than a traditional fridge they use less electricity to cool and allow less air to escape each time
you open the door.

Christmas trees have gotten so expensive lately that for quite a few years now I've decorated a potted plant. True, you lose that fresh-from-the forrest smell but you're $100 bucks richer for the sacrifice (not to mention, free of tree-killing gulit!). That's why I was so utterly thrilled when Design^Sprout reader/super clever designer Eric Dalpiaz sent in photos of his homemade, completely recycled Christmas tree.
"Why not make a tree out of stuff you have laying around doing some house renovations? I just framed it with the 2x4s and some framing nails. Then I wrapped that frame with the chain link fence. The rest is pretty self explanatory. Just converted the chandelier to make it able to plug into the lights. Figured I'd use all this stuff for something before I took it all to Habitat's ReStore."
